My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How many dogs can you count on one hand that is the sweetest, wiggliest, happiest pup you’ve ever met? Well, Betsy Boo tops all of those other dogs that you counted. This girl lights up a room with her smile, personality, goofiness, and let’s not forget about her famous wiggle butt. Betsy is a big ball of joy with a tail that wags faster than your Wi-Fi on a good day that makes her whole body wiggle. She’s a professional at making you laugh and turning those bad days into some of the best days. She is your own personal cheerleader that will never let you down and will always be there for you. No matter where Betsy is or what she is doing, this girl radiates with happiness and always has a smile on her face. Betsy is one of a kind and checks all of the boxes. Just watch her video below and you’ll see all of the reasons as to why we love her so much.

Fall in love with Betsy: https://youtu.be/tI4pv59MEFg?si=15p2FLZat1MfVFDy

Betsy Boo is a pittie mix approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 60 lbs but is more on the leaner side. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. We can guarantee that your life with Betsy will be filled with laughter, fun and unconditional love.

Betsy absolutely adores people. Her foster mom says she knows no stranger and she’s always so happy to see and be around her people. She has a special knack for making friends everywhere she goes and kisses are never in short supply with Betsy. Want to be able to take Betsy with you to pet friendly places like breweries, outdoor bars, etc.? Betsy does amazing in public settings. She loves the attention and is eager to meet everyone. She also does great when meeting kids out in public and has been around kids of all ages but we suggest kids 7 and up as she can knock little ones down when she gets that wiggly butt going. Betsy would also love to be your adventure buddy, whether that’s a walk in the park, a hike, or just a playful romp in the backyard. She’s great in the car, easy to walk on a leash and is eager to be your passenger princess. One of Betsy’s favorite things to do is to play fetch! This girl is a fetch superstar and loves her toys. I can see her being one of those dogs where if you tell her to go find her ball or her toy and she’ll know exactly where it is. I also see her being the best at playing hide and seek if you hide her ball or toys. She’ll happily play a long game of fetch in the backyard or quietly chew on her favorite stuffed animal in the house. She is easily entertained and she knows how to entertain herself as well with a chew bone or with a stuffed animal. Betsy is not all play all the time either. After a long walk, adventures out on the trails or a game of fetch in the backyard, she’ll gladly snuggle right up next to you on the couch for a movie marathon.

Have another playful dog at home? Even better—Betsy loves a good playdate. She is in daily play groups with dogs of all sizes and personalities and she has the time of her life. It’s so fun to watch her run around with her doggie friends. When she is around a dog that isn’t quite sure if they want to play or not she does the cutest toe taps, bunny hops and play bows to try to get them to play with her. You can see her doing that in her video. After all of that, if her enchantments don’t work, she’ll simply go off to find her next playmate or she’ll run up to you for affection and play time. Betsy does great with small dogs too. She has been around dogs as small as 11 lbs and wasn’t overly pushy with them or rough around them. She will try to engage playtime with them so if you have a small dog we do suggest a small dog that is used to being around bigger dogs and likes to play. If you don’t have other dogs, that is perfectly fine for Betsy as well. She does not need the company of other dogs to help her feel comfortable, she is a confident and happy little lady that will love being your one and only. That just means more attention and affection for her and she also has enough love to share and spread throughout the household. No kitties for Betsy though, she is a little too interested in feline friends.

Doesn’t Betsy already sound amazing?! Well wait, there’s more! Betsy is crate trained, potty trained and is quiet. Everyone that she has been in contact with has stated that they have never heard Betsy bark and they rave about how quiet she is. Betsy’s a smart cookie who’s toy and treat motivated, so you can teach her just about anything. She already knows basic commands such as sit, crate, and touch. Show her the ropes, and she’ll fit right into your routine. Plus, she’s a sucker for love and praise—she’ll do anything to see you smile. When it comes to enrichment, Betsy is a fan of treat puzzles, trying new foods, catching bubbles, and showing off her agility skills. If you’re looking for a pup who loves a good challenge, Betsy’s your girl.

Don’t miss out on the chance to bring Betsy Boo into your life. Adopt her today, and get ready for a lifetime of laughs, companionship, and a whole lot of love. We are willing to test Betsy boo with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.

The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.
While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!

Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
