Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Trixie is a beautiful tabby cat with a white chest and white mittens and bright green eyes. Trixie is 6 years old (born 2/15/2018).
Trixie can be quite vocal and she absolutely loves chasing a laser pointer. Her foster mom said that “the minute I pick it up, Trixie does an adorable excited little dance.” She also enjoys playing with wand toys and licking catnip toys.
Trixie will do best in a quieter home as her past life had some turbulent times and loud noises scare her so a home with only older children or adults will be the best fit for them.
Trixie is not a fan of change so she will need need some adjustment time but once she starts to feel comfortable and begins to trust again, she will show her true self and begin to be a great companion who enjoys being petted and cuddled. Because of her initial fear and insecurity, an adopter will need to be cautious and watch her cues so that she doesn’t nip or bite. Once she knows she is safe, this should cease or become very infrequent and only if she gets overstimulated.
In her first home, she would often greet visitors and ask for attention so we anticipate that may come in time in her new home as well but initially she will probably hide from strangers. She enjoys spending time in a cat tree and watching out the windows at all the fun things to see. And just like her brother, she will happily sleep with you at night if you will let her.
Can you provide the stable, loving home environment that she deserves? She has a lot of great years of joy to share with a new forever family.
