Twinkie is super sweet just like his namesake snack and it seems like he may have eaten more than his fair share of Twinkies (or at least Temptations treats) in his life since he weighs in at about 20 pounds. He is 6 years old (born 2/15/2018) and needs to be adopted with his litter mate sister, Trixie, who he has lived with his entire life. His new family will help him greatly by getting him on a diet to lose some weight. He will go to his new home after having complete blood work which all came back in normal limits and clean teeth after a recent dental which is a great benefit to an adopter since they can be pricey.
Twinkie is a gentle giant and he can sometimes get scared by loud noises so a calm home will be a great fit for him. After an initial adjustment period, he will enjoy being petted and cuddling with his human family members. He is a polydactyl so his paws are quite large with extra toes – they are very cool to look at. He will happily sleep with his family member and sometimes even under the covers if you will let him. He enjoys a solid cat tree and also likes to play with toys on strings, catnip kick sticks, and toy mice, and playing is great exercise for him.
When guests visit, Twinkie may initially hide but once he knows he is safe in a new home, he will quickly come out of his shell and provide you a lot of joy. He is quieter than his sister Trixie but sometimes he will meow when he gets the zoomies chasing fun things. He is a great “biscuit maker” with his kneading skills and doesn’t mind being brushed which will be a good bonding time with him and keep his coat nice.
Twinkie is a master at getting into small cubby holes to cuddle up in and it’s so funny to see him squeeze into those tiny spaces that you wouldn’t think he’d even be able to get into because of his large size. Twinkie will happily roll over so that you can give him a belly rub which he enjoys.
These two young cats have many years of joy to share with a new family. Please contact us today about these sweet cats.
