My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Yanco, an adult canine companion with a heart as big as his spirit. He`s a sweet soul, yet somewhat shy, needing a little extra time to warm up to new people. His gentle nature makes him a perfect companion for those seeking a quiet, loving pet. Yanco`s shyness doesn`t stop him from enjoying his favorite activities: exploring the outdoors and snuggling on a cozy couch. Despite his initial timidity, Yanco`s love and loyalty know no bounds once he trusts you. Yanco deserves a forever home where he can thrive, grow, and show his true loving nature. Adopt Yanco and experience the unconditional love and companionship that only a pet like him can provide.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
