Gasparilla came to ARC from another shelter that was out of space. All the recent changes in her young life were not easy for her in the beginning. Now, she has relaxed and welcomes petting and attention from all. She is a gentle natured kitten that usually prefers relaxing in the quiet interior of her house. She enjoys the company of all the other kittens and would surely do well in a home with another cat or two.

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
