My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Landen, the delightful blend of Great Dane and Border Collie, making him the ultimate gentle giant at just 2 years old and 83 pounds. Rescued with love and care, Landen's story is one of resilience and joy.

With his endearing personality, Landen quickly wins hearts wherever he goes. His sweet nature and friendly demeanor make him a beloved companion to all who meet him. Whether it's a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood or a chance encounter with new friends, Landen's wagging tail and warm greetings light up the day.

Landen's playful spirit knows no bounds. He adores chasing after balls with boundless enthusiasm, his graceful stride a testament to his Great Dane heritage. And when it's time for a little friendly competition, Landen is always up for a game of tug-of-war, his Border Collie intelligence shining through as he strategizes his next move.

But beyond his love for play, Landen's true joy lies in the simple pleasures of life: the warmth of a sunny day, the smell of fresh grass under his paws, and the love and companionship of his human family. With Landen by your side, every moment is filled with love, laughter, and the undeniable charm of a gentle giant who has found his forever home.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide the programs and services needed to eliminate the killing of at-risk animals due to lack of space, adopter or foster.

San Antonio Pets Alive! is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Due to alarming euthanasia rates, San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!) was founded in 2012. SAPA! is unique—it is the only high paced, high-volume rescue in San Antonio, saving 6,000 at-risk cats and dogs annually.

Since its inception, SAPA! has saved more than 47,000 dogs and cats. SAPA! provides safety nets for the dogs and cats that fall through the cracks of all other lifesaving options and end up on the euthanasia lists, often with just hours to be saved. SAPA! promotes the availability of these dogs and cats to other rescues, adopters and fosters.

questions.

If you are interested in fostering an animal, please visit our website and fill out our online Foster Application. The more foster homes we have the more animals we can pull off the euthanasia list and the more lives we can save together!
