Good with kids? Yes, but due to her size she needs a home with kids who are at least 5 years old and used to being around dogs

Lucy was surrendered to a shelter when her owners were no longer able to care for her She was very thin and had a serious case of happy tail (tail damaged from hitting it on things and it wouldn’t heal). She is now a healthy weight, has a nub tail and we did a Gastropexy (stomach tacking) when she was spayed). We were told she has a chicken allergy so she’s been eating lamb and rice food, with no issues.

She has no idea how big she so her goal in life is to be a lap dog. Lucy is sweet and loves being the center of attention.

Adoption Process:

Step 2: PawPrints will review the application, verifying Vet and personal references as well as landlord requirements/restrictions (if applicable)

Step 3: IF your application is approved, we will call you to schedule a meet and greet for you to meet the pet.

â€‹Step 4: If the meet and greet goes well, we will schedule the home visit.

Additional adoption info

Applicants must be at least 24 years of age. Completion and submission of an application does not
guarantee approval to adopt. All applications will be considered and applicants will be approved based
on best fit for the adoptable animal, regardless of order in which they are received. Applicant agrees to
references being checked and a home visit being conducted prior to the finalization of an adoption.

More about this rescue

PawPrints Animal Rescue was founded in 2015 in the Northern Kentucky area by a group of five dedicated people with a passion for animals. Our goal is to save as many lives as we can by saving all breeds of dog and cats that are at risk of euthanasia in area shelters. With the help of an amazing group of volunteers, all animals are fostered in loving homes until they are adopted.
