My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Erin, a gentle and sweet-natured female German Shepherd mix eagerly awaiting her forever home. At an estimated 12 years young and 60 pounds, Erin may be a senior pup, but she's full of love and life, ready to bring joy to her new family. Erin is a true lady who prefers the company of humans over cats. However, she's wonderful with older kids, making her an ideal companion for families seeking a loyal and loving furry friend. Known for her affectionate nature, Erin adores having her ears scratched and will melt into your arms for cuddles and pets. This lovely lady is a breeze to walk on leash, making strolls around the neighborhood or adventures in the great outdoors a delightful experience. Potty trained and crate trained, Erin is a well-mannered companion who knows how to behave in the home. Erin enjoys the simple pleasures in life, such as leisurely walks, camping trips, and cozy naps by your side. Whether it's a short ride to the park or a long road trip, she's a perfect passenger who loves car rides of all lengths. Treat motivated and easygoing, Erin gets along famously with both small and large dogs, embodying a chill and laid-back demeanor that makes her a joy to be around. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who's as sweet as can be, look no further than Erin. Apply today at ITVrescue.org to come meet this wonderful lady and give her the forever home she deserves!

All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.

More about this shelter

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
