My story

At SDHS:

Let us introduce you to Brendon, a lively ball of energy who's ready to become your loyal sidekick! His playful spirit is downright contagious and he's always up for some fun - he's sure to brighten your day with his adorable antics. Brendon thrives on human connection, forming strong bonds with those who show him compassion and love.

This friendly fellow would be happiest as the only dog in the house, where he can soak up all the attention and truly be the star of the show. He prefers a home with older kids and would be a great fit for a family looking for a fun-loving companion. Brendon's loyalty and love are unmatched, offering a one-of-a-kind companionship that only he can provide. Plus, he's got a repertoire of tricks and walks beautifully on a leash, making every outing a joy.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
