Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Nova, a remarkable survivor with a golden heart. Nova arrived at the Humane Society of Wilkes as a stray, bearing a severe injury to her left front foot, possibly from a claw trap. She was not only wounded but also severely matted, underweight, and afflicted with mange. Yet, she remained incredibly sweet. After two months of dedicated care, Nova-meaning 'new'-is now ready for a new home and a fresh start in life. Nova is an exceptional dog; she enjoys playing with other dogs, is unbothered by cats, adores people, and is progressing well with crate training. She has also been practicing leash training and has a fondness for playing with balls. Nova is approximately 1yr old and weighs about 40#. We believe she could possibly be an Elkhound mix. The perfect home for Nova would include another playful dog and a family that will treasure her.
