Hiya! My name is PERLA and here is some info about me:
PHYSICAL INFO:
RESCUE STORY – I was found wandering the streets of Xochimilco, Mexico City. This is a well-known area of high abandonment. My rescuer found me next to the body of my furry companion and I was very scared. Seeing that I had recently had puppies and was very vulnerable, she took me to be spayed, so that at least I would be in less danger. However, once I recovered, she couldn't return me to the streets, and although there are many dogs already in the shelter, they made a little space for me! Now I'm ready for a home that will welcome me with open arms.
TEMPERAMENT - I am a calm, sweet girl who is pretty darn chill. I almost never bark and I really just love to keep my rescuer company-- big people gal! I like to play with my sheltermates of all sizes but overall I'm pretty chill and happy to just hangout. Good news, I don't show any resource guarding when food is out (video). I am incredibly tolerant with the younger puppies at the shelter and have the perfect balance of play and teaching in my interactions with them (video). My true mama instincts kick in in these settings!
ENERGY LEVEL - low/medium energy. I'll be the perfect balance of walkies + snoozies!

The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.
WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.
