My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

As of 2024, Candy is 25 years old and stands 15.1 H. Candy is a dark bay Westphalian mare that came to HAHS through a large-scale ASPCA rescue. Candy has had some basic ground training, where she has learned to trust humans again. She is still a bit standoffish but has shown tremendous improvement, and HAHS has been using her in our programs that teach volunteers basic horse handling and care skills. She has shown a special interest in children and enjoys interacting with them at our children's events. She gets along well with mares and geldings. Candy is looking for an adopter who can spend time with her daily to gain her trust.
