HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at mmccarroll@arl-iowa.org or Carol at cgriglione@arl-iowa.org.
---
- Sweet, shy cat that welcomes attention and pets
- Once he gets used to you he will come up to you for pets and will even let you pick him up for a short while - he will walk away a little bit and flop over on his side and roll over onto his back and then back onto his side again
- Is not a snuggly lap cat
- Loud noises are scary to him, so he needs a quiet home
- Will be a wonderful friend for a calm, patient person who loves the quiet life just like he does
- Once he deems you as "his person" he is very loyal, following you everywhere in the house
- Uses both upright and flat cat scratchers
- Somewhat interested in toys
- LOVES wet food, but will also eat dry
- Is not a jumper, as he has trouble getting up on higher surfaces
- Very handsome guy who will need a little time to adjust to his new home; will be a wonderful friend for someone who can give him the time and patience he needs to become comfortable
- Young, noisy or busy children are just too much for him, so he's looking for a mature home that's calm and predictable
- Not a huge fan of other cats, but can co-exist with them
All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age)
