VOLUNTEER JOB OPPORTUNITIES

KITTY CUDDLERS – This program was designed to ensure that every cat gets one-on-one attention every day. The volunteer interested in this role needs to be very comfortable with all breeds of cats, and be willing to go home full of cat hair and pulls in their clothing. They need to be able to assess animal body language and behavior. There is a short training that will be scheduled and we utilize Kitty Cuddler Volunteers 6 days a week from 10 am to 5 pm.

CANINE COMPANIONS – This program was designed to ensure that every dog gets one-on-one attention every day. This is our most physically demanding volunteer position; the volunteer interested in this role needs to be physically fit, very comfortable with all breeds and all sizes of dogs and willing to go home full of dog hair, dog slobber and exhausted. They need to be able to assess animal body language and behavior. There is a short training that will be scheduled and we utilize Canine Companion volunteers 6 days a week from 10 am – 5 pm.

FOSTER CARE PROGRAMS

MEDICAL FOSTERS - Some animals at the Shelter have special medical needs that need attending after recuperating from surgery or due to cruelty issues. Foster parents receive special instructions from our Clinic to help care for these special needs animals.

PUPPY/KITTEN FOSTERS – We need foster parents who are willing to take these little babies in and take care of them until they are big enough to come back to the Shelter and be put up for adoption. This is usually any where from a 2 week to potentially a 2 month commitment.
