ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, NH: Cute little girl Gertrude is so grateful to have survived a euthanasia command from the city shelter – but now she really needs her forever home!
Adorable Gertrude is about 1 year old and weighs 56 lbs. Young Gertrude is a playful, active gal ready to experience life as a real dog! Gertrude is dog friendly, even giving muzzle licks upon first meeting new dogs when being properly introduced. Early in 2024, Gertrude’s previous owner was hospitalized and Gertrude was dumped at the over crowded city shelter, which was very stressful for her. With her soulful eyes and curly little piglet tail, Gertrude quickly stole hearts – and snuggles, too! Fortunately, a wonderful foster stepped up to save her life, but Gertrude would really like the stability and comfort of a forever home. She really is one of the cutest dogs you will ever meet, with a vibrant personality and innocent curiosity about her. She is soft, cuddly, affectionate, and loves to play! Sweet lady Gertrude is a lovely house dog with so much living to do - and she sure is ready to see the world with you!
If you can open your heart and home to dear Gertrude, please contact AmsterDog by call/text at 917-689-8414 or by email at info@amsterdog.org. Apply for Gertrude at AmsterDog.org.

AmsterDog Rescue does not have its own facility. Instead, we rely on fosters to care for our beloved animals. Our available animals may change depending on your location and we do transport animals for adoptions within a reasonable distance. Since you will possibly be speaking with and meeting a foster directly, an application must be filled out prior to meet and greets.
