My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gus here is looking for his furever home.

He was rescued and then abandoned along with 39 other shepherds at a boarding facility. We took him and 12 other shepherds in and now Gus is ready for a home to call his own.

Gus is a medium sized boy which is ideal for any type of home. He gets along with most dogs as long as there is a proper introduction. He doesn't like cats but loves children.

Gus loves being outdoors so a home with outdoor space is ideal. An active person(s) or family is perfect for him.

He is loyal and follows commands. Gus has great leash manners which makes him the perfect companion for long walks or running. He loves his rubs, scratches, and sitting with his people.

Submit application, phone or in-person interview, sign contract, pay adoption fee. Pets may be transported from our Texas ranch to Florida adopters, adopter pays the cost of transport. Meet and greets are done using Zoom or Facetime.
Once a companion animal becomes part of our family, our mission is to step in with help at any time in their lives that they may need it. We seek to stop the constant recycling of precious lives back into the streets and shelters. Our dogs are our family. They will always be welcomed back at Finn’s Rescue Ranch in Harper Tx during their lifetime when in need.

More about this rescue

We are a private 501c3 not for profit based in Delray Beach FL. Every day SFCF sponsors and saves the lives of last chance end of the line dogs in kill shelters, abandoned animals and street dogs in Florida and Texas. Between SFCF and Finn’s Rescue Ranch in Harper Tx we have over 75 dogs in our care at any given time. SFCF sponsors medical behavioral and other last chance neglected or abused dogs. At Finn’s Ranch we rehabilitate our canine family physically emotionally and behaviorally before sending them to new lives with their forever families. We strive to send dogs from states where there are weak spay/ neuter laws and an over abundance of neglected and abandoned dogs to states where better animal protection laws are in place.
