My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Ruthie was recently returned after being adopted out as a kitten 9 years ago.  She is settling in at her foster home and is an absolute sweetheart.

She loves attention, purrs non stop, and likes to sit on your lap. She uses her litter box, likes wet cat food and churu treats. She enjoys cat TV - aka looking out the window at birds and chipmunks.

Ruthie is curious and affectionate, loves being near her human and will be a wonderful companion to the person lucky enough to adopt her.

Ruthie is up to date on vaccines, FeLV/FIV negative, microchipped & spayed.

More about this rescue

The mission of The Kitten Nursery is to provide a safe, healthy, healing and loving environment for abandoned, injured, and abused cats, as well as pregnant cats and their kittens.

The Kitten Nursery began with one volunteer and a couple cages in a garage for a nursing cat named Maria & 2 orphan kittens. The goal was to provide a place to care for pregnant or nursing cats & orphan infant kittens from local shelters.

We have grown to caring for abandoned cats, special needs cats and barn cats. This is all possible because of the network of dedicated volunteers, fosters, medical workers, food banks, etc.
