Meet Princess, a 5-year-old female Terrier Pit Bull mix with a calm and gentle demeanor that truly lives up to her royal name. Graceful and affectionate, Princess is a loving companion who is ready to find her forever throne. She has been in our care since May 2024 and is eager to share her loyalty and love with a new family. Princess is up to date on all vaccinations, microchipped, knows how to sit, and would make a great family dog. She needs a home with no cats, as she is not very fond of them. She is Heartworm positive, however our HSSM Wellness Clinic does discount treatment for adopters. Will you be the one to crown this princess as the queen of your heart? Come adopt her today!

HSSM is home to over 300 pets on any given day, most of which are looking for new forever homes! Your new best friend could be waiting at HSSM right now. Our beautiful, 41,000 square foot facility is currently open to the public. HSSM is open for adoptions Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary to adopt, however, adoptions are first-come, first served. You must come to HSSM to complete your adoption and make sure you bring a photo ID, as it is required to complete adoption paperwork.
Our adoptable animals page is self-updating and displays ALL of HSSM’s adorable adoptable pets from “pocket pets” to birds and of course the hundreds of dogs and cats currently calling HSSM home! See one you like? Make sure you note your favorite’s name and animal ID number so that HSSM staff and volunteers can easily find him/her when you come in!
Adoptions are cut off every day about 30 minutes prior to closing and possibly earlier if volume is high. Weekends are busy and you may have to wait more than an hour (especially in the afternoons) so please be prepared.
