Introducing Scrappy: Your Loyal and Loving Companion

Scrappy is a one-of-a-kind Pit/Boxer mix, approximately 4 months old, with a heart as big as his love for car rides and cuddling. Despite a tough start in life, Scrappy's resilience and affectionate nature shine through, making him an exceptional companion for any family.

One of Scrappy's favorite pastimes is going for car rides, where he eagerly takes in the sights and sounds of the world around him. But his true joy comes from snuggling beside you, his trusty rope toy by his side. With Scrappy in your arms, every moment becomes a cherished memory.

Training Scrappy is a breeze, thanks to his unwavering focus and eagerness to please. Whether you're teaching him to sit, stay, or fetch, Scrappy is quick to catch on and eager to learn. With a little patience and encouragement, he'll master new tricks in no time.

Scrappy's journey to finding his forever home hasn't been easy. From facing the wrath of his mother dog to experiencing the fear of never being loved, he's overcome countless obstacles with bravery and grace. Yet, despite his past, Scrappy's spirit remains unbroken, and his capacity for love knows no bounds.

When you first meet Scrappy, you'll see the remnants of his past in his eyes—fearful and uncertain. But with each passing day, his tail wags a little faster, and his smile grows a little wider. Now, he eagerly awaits your pets, his heart filled with trust and affection.

Scrappy's love knows no limits. He's been around dogs big and small, as well as a cat, with no issues whatsoever. His gentle nature and easygoing demeanor make him the perfect addition to any loving family.

Are you ready to welcome Scrappy into your home and heart? With his loyal companionship and unwavering love, he's sure to bring endless joy and happiness into your life. Don't miss out on the opportunity to make Scrappy a cherished member of your family today.

More about this rescue

**Our Story**

It all began with a visit to a shelter, where Thumper, acting out of fear and protection for his little kennel, was nearly passed over. But beneath his barks was the gentlest soul, a dog who simply needed someone to look beyond his initial façade. Thumper's story of survival, having been saved from euthanasia multiple times thanks to the belief of a dedicated shelter worker, resonates at the core of our mission. Since joining our family in 2018, Thumper has not only enriched our lives but has also become a mentor to foster dogs, guiding them through their own transformations with patience and love.

**Our Mission**

At Thumpers Legacy Dog Rescue, we are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs in need. Our mission is to give every dog a chance to lead a happy, healthy life in a loving home. We focus on dogs that are often overlooked - the scared, the shy, the ones that seem too challenging at first glance. Like Thumper, these dogs have boundless love to give, if only given the chance. We remove dogs from shelters that are on the list of being euthanized to give them a second chance at life.

**How We Help**

We provide a rescue for abandoned and unwanted dogs, offering medical care, behavioral training, and the warmth of a nurturing environment. By working closely with volunteers, foster homes, and adopters, we not only prepare our dogs for their forever homes but also raise awareness about the importance of pet adoption and responsible ownership.
