Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Zane, a 5-month-old Rough Collie puppy who is on the hunt for his forever home! This big boy is already up to 50 lbs., so we’re pretty sure that he’s going to be a giant goober when he’s all grown up! Zane already has big confidence, too; his foster mom told us that the first time he went to the feed store, he walked right in like he owned the place!
Like most Collie puppies, Zane absolutely loves humans. He’s a confirmed snuggle puppy who loves to cuddle with his foster mom—and to sneak in some licks on her ear whenever he can! He also loves being brushed and is very patient with the process. And while he hasn’t met any kids yet, we think he’ll do great with them!
Zane is a feisty fellow who loves to play with anyone who will give him attention! He loves playing with other dogs, and while he has a bit of a dominant streak, he’s been working hard on learning not to be so bossy. He’s done well around cats so far, showing a normal curiosity about them.
Zane is eager to learn and highly treat-motivated, so he’s very trainable! He’s doing great with his house-training and can already sit on command. While he isn’t crate-trained, he does does just fine sleeping on a dog bed at night. Zane has great recall and knows to make frequent eye contact with his foster mom to be on the alert for a command or signal. While a physical fence at his forever home is preferred, his foster mom thinks that he would be fine without one as long as he’s properly boundary-trained.
If you’re looking for a supersized, self-assured Collie puppy, Zane just might be the one for you! Fill out an Adoption Application for him today!
