We prefer adopters be within 1 hour drive of Claymont, DE 19703. Sweet Oreo joined All Our Love Animal Rescue when his previous family could no longer care for him. Oreo is a typical chi, tiny who thinks he’s mighty🙄 He likes to play with other pups, but he likes to be the boss so let’s call him dog selective. He was an only pup before coming into the rescue, and he would be fine as an only pup, but play dates with friends is always a good thing, to help keep him from becoming reactive when out and about. Oreo does get nervous in the car, so foster mom is taking him out on small errands in hope that he becomes more comfortable and can relax. Oreo definitely is all snuggles when it’s his turn to sleep with foster mom. We feel Oreo would do best in an adult home, with teenagers and older. We do require chihuahua experience. This breed can be spicy at times, and the parents can’t or shouldn’t allow them to rule the house. Once everyone knows their true place in the pack, spoiling them rotten and allowing them to think they are the boss can be fun at times. But they need that structure at first. More about this rescue
We are a new organization as of January 2023! Although the organization is new, there is a lot of experience within All Our Love Animal Rescue. If an owner needs to rehome their pet, they can sign the pet over to our group, relieving them of the stress. It's most likely a difficult thing to do, and we will handle it with care. We also will take animals from the high risk shelters, those that may not make it out otherwise. We also take on the problem kids, the spicy ones are called now a days. Again most likely not to be adopted. We help communities with TNR of cats. This helps with the stray population and gives kittens and non-feral cats a chance to be adopted. We do these things because animals are helpless and more times than none they need help because a human already failed them, so we try to make it right. The animals deserve this.
