Meet Toast!


Age: 3 years

Breed: Black and White Bully Mix

Toast is an energetic and affectionate bully mix who’s looking for a loving home to share her enthusiasm and cuddles ??. She has a lot of puppy energy and is eager to be part of a family that can keep up with her playful nature.


Personality:


Energetic and Playful: Toast is full of energy and has a lot of puppy left in her. She loves to play and is always up for an adventure.

Food Motivated: She is very treat motivated and takes treats gently. She knows basic commands like sit, stay, and come.

Affectionate: Toast loves affection and is extremely cuddly. She enjoys being close to her humans and receiving lots of pets.

Leash Skills: Toast does pull on the leash during walks but settles down once she gets going.

Dog Interaction: She is not bothered by other dogs, wildlife, or humans and interacts calmly with them.


Playgroup Behavior:


Push/Pull Selective: Toast is selective with other dogs, showing push/pull behavior.

Minorly Assertive: She can be minorly assertive with other dogs but generally manages interactions well.

Stimulus Control Issues: She has some issues with stimulus control but responds well to handler steering.

Playful: She enjoys playing and is responsive to guidance during playgroup sessions.


Looking For:
Toast would do best in a home where she can get plenty of exercise and affection. Her energetic and playful nature makes her a great companion for an active family. She will bring a lot of love and joy to her new home.

Our adoption fees are only $50.

We occasionally have reduced adoption fees- check our MCAS Facebook page to see if we have a current special.
If you find an animal you'd like to adopt, come right in, there are no appointments necessary.

You are invited to meet our pets anytime during our business hours. We also have cats available at the Ocala Petsense (East Silver Springs Blvd) store everyday. We regularly have adoption events which we advertise on our Facebook page.

More about this shelter

Marion County Animal Services is the largest animal shelter in our county. Operating as a no-kill shelter, our kennels are almost always full. We provide adoption, fostering opportunities, work with rescues, accept volunteers and provide the training for veterinary assisting students. In addition, we run the Neuter Commuter and provide all animal control services in Marion County.
Due to the sheer volume of animals in our care, we need lots of help from our community in our effort to adopt out more and save more!
We don't only accept the ideal animals into our shelter. We can offer you quite the array of animal breeds and personalites! Keep an open mind when visiting our shelter- you may find that your perfect match is not at all what you set out to find.
