My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This pretty little girl is Melody! At 6+ years young, sweet Melody is looking for a loving home to enjoy her retirement. But don't let her age fool you, she is still full of energy and loves to play! Melody is highly intelligent and learns new skills quickly. She is also a fetch champion, and she will joyously bring whatever you throw right back to you. Her fondness for water is unmatched, she loves to splash in the pool and begs to be sprayed with the hose!

Melody passed her cat test, she was actually a bit fearful at first but overall had good calm interactions with our cats. Melody does best without any other canine companions, she likes to soak up all the attention on her own. She walks great on a leash, knows some basic commands, and she is housebroken! Melody recently enjoyed a much-deserved shelter break with one of our volunteers, and we are pleased to report she has lovely house manners. She was so relaxed and happy away from the shelter, and we hope that her forever family comes for her soon.

We think Melody will thrive in a home with older kids and adults who can match her playful enthusiasm! If you are looking for an older dog who loves the outdoors, then Melody is the perfect choice for you!
