Crash is playful and lively, loyal and dedicated, and very energetic.

He is intelligent which can get him into trouble without the strength and guidance of a confident owner. He requires an active family and is not content to sit around and gaze at the world, Crash races ahead and takes life head on! Given a job and he will be happy and content and letting off steam in secured fenced in areas.

He looooooves life as he knows it. He loves attention and lots of petting. He enjoys crossword puzzles, reading and anything to do with using his brain. He would enjoy tea, whiskey if he was human, along with physics, and astrology. Super cool kid, looking for super cool humans to call his Forever own.

Crash is not in the main public section of the shelter, so be sure to ask for him by name if you come to visit him!

All adoptions must be done in person. Prospective adopters must meet the pet and complete the adoption application and questionnaire during the initial visit to our shelter at 2802 W Central Park Ave, Davenport, IA.

The Humane Society of Scott County (HSSC) has been an advocate for the humane care of all animals in Scott County, Iowa, since 1902.

An average of 500 pets arrive at the HSSC each month. About 80% come to us as strays and the rest are surrendered by owners who can no longer keep or care for their pets.

The HSSC is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization funded entirely by donations, adoption fees and a fee charged to the city and county for the care of the animals.
