FAST FACTS: *3 years old - 16 Pounds *Enjoys Sitting Outside and Being Close to His Person *Dog Friendly - All Sizes *Crate Trained *Working on Potty Training *Quiet, Adult-Only Home *Training Required
BIO: Hi, future family! My name is Darius, and I am ready to find out what love and comfort feels like after my previous life of horrible neglect. I was rescued from a puppy mill operation, where I was kept in a small crate my entire life; I never experienced kindness from people or any affection and I will thrive with patient people who will help me blossom and learn what life should really be. My ideal home will be a quiet one with adults; I can be initially timid with men, but once I know you are a safe person I love to be near you like a shadow and I also enjoy lounging outside in the grass with you (I never felt grass before, and boy is it niiice!) It would also be a nice bonus to have another doggie pal to follow around. I get along great with dogs of all sizes. I am learning lots and experiencing so many fun things for the first time thanks to my friends at Fetching Tails, and my adopters will need to sign me up for training classes so I can work on my socialization skills and gain even more confidence. I am already crate trained and potty training is a work in progress; I am also working on my leash-walking skills and would love to learn even more. Are you the special person who could show me the good life and pamper me with all the love I have always dreamed about? I hope you fill out an adoption application soon; I have a feeling we are going to have an incredible life together!
If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
