Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Nova in Maryville Tennessee
Have you all met ASF Nova??? Isn't she lovely? Nova is a 2 year old fun sized aussie weighing 29lbs. Nova had a very rough start to life as a puppy mill dog. Thankfully, a really amazing couple swooped in to save her. Unfortunately, this couple couldn't keep her due to military orders. However, they saw the need, and they saved this dog more than they will ever know. 🫶🙌 It is such an honor to help our military families!
Nova is learning how to do life outside of being a mill dog. She is still a little timid of going out and about and feels her best at home. ASF does encourage a martingale style collar or double leashing for her safety. She acts like every bite is her last and will eat too quickly without a slow feeder. Nova is a very spunky girl and LOVES to talk to her people. She also loves a good zoom in the backyard and will snuggle you close all through the night. She gets along great with dogs and cats. Nova adores dog savvy kids, too! If you've been looking for that perfect velcro or work from home companion...this is YOUR girl!
Nova walks well on a leash, is crate trained, but would do ok without, knows basic commands. She is also spayed and UTD on all her vetting. Nova does have a beef sensitivity. So it's best to avoid that. Nova will benefit from someone willing to work on socialization to make outings easier for her. If she sounds like a fit for you, please fill out the application to adopt!
https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to my new family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.
