My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oh hi, my name is Aubie and I am still confused about why I am without a home. My owner's living arrangements changed and she tried her best to work things out with her landlord, but didn't have any luck. So I had to come to the shelter to try to find a new home. I am a terrier mix. I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. Now there are three things you need to know about me. First, I am a little bit over weight....I know I need to drop a few pounds. I am hoping my new family will be able to help me with that. The second thing you need to know about me is that I am about nine years old. I get around just fine and have a great personality, so no problem there. And third I would be best in a home as the only pet. I just don't like the competition. I want my owner all to myself so I can give him or her all of my love and attention. Do you meet all of those qualifications? If the answer is yes, then fill out that adoption application and set up an appointment to meet me!

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
