Paul A424024

Located At: Sonoma County Animal Services

Description: I am a neutered male, black and white Pit Bull Terrier mix.

Age: I am estimated to be about 10 months old.

Weight: I weigh approximately 61 pounds.

More Info: I have been at the shelter since Jan 24, 2024.

Meet Paul! Paul arrived to us when he was 4 months old. This patient puppy is looking for a place to call home. He unfortunately fell victim to the overcrowded shelter scene. This prolonged him moving through the process and he is now over a year old. He is very sweet and attentive to his handler. He gets along well with other dogs with a plauful personality. He has been spending time in the front office with staff. He does still have some puppy tendencies, but is a very smart and fast learner. He just wants to be with his person, and follows them everywhere. He does settle inside nicely when with his handler. He will still need to learn some of the basics and work on his skill, but he is waiting. Due to his puppy-like behavior we are recommending a home with children 10 & up. Come visit him!

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
