Description: I am a neutered male, black and white Siberian Husky.

Age: I am estimated to be about 2 years and 6 months old.

Weight: I weigh approximately 62 pounds.

More Info: I have been at the shelter since Nov 03, 2023.

Koi is a 2 year old, Husky pup that came to our shelter as a stray. He is intelligent, fun-loving, and adorable! He would love to find a family that loves to exercise & can engage with his Husky chit-chat! He was forward when meeting another dog but friendly and playful after a few minutes. We are recommending he go into a home with children 12 years and older.

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
