Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The difference a loving home makes has again been proven by Ella. As of February 2025, Ella will have been at the shelter one year. Shelter life is hard for all animals but spending a year in a shelter is even more difficult. Ella is a beautiful cat that has had potential adopters come see her, but she hasn’t found the right home for her. We wanted to give her a chance to show her true personality without the stress a shelter brings, so she recently went to a loving foster home and oh boy, the true Ella has already come shining through. Her foster mom sends this report:
“It took Ella 24 hrs to unwind from shelter life to foster home living. The first thing you will notice is how she resembles a dwarf cat. We are working on dropping a few pounds, but those teeny legs don't stop her jumping power. Ella has full roaming privileges in this foster home. Her bathroom skills are perfect. She loves sunshine and breathing fresh air through the front screen door. She does not hide when guests enter and is rather inquisitive. Ella has excellent hearing and will alert when hearing something new. She doesn't hide, just waits then relaxes. She enjoys her favorite toys, laser light and cat videos. Currently she enjoys sitting beside rather than on you. I suspect in time she'll be a lap cat.”
Be sure to check out the pictures of Ella relaxing and enjoying her foster home. There is even an adorable picture of her making biscuits!
If you have a calm home, only older calm children, and no other cats (we don’t know how she is with dogs, but it's doubtful she'd do well with dogs), contact us at 602.971.1334 to arrange a meet & greet at the foster’s home. Ella, who turned four in November 2024, is currently on weight-management food, but with lots of exercise in a home, we are sure she’ll be able to manage her weight. Her adoption fee of $85 includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FELV, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Let’s get this girl adopted!
