Roxy is a beautiful 8-month-old Boxer mix
This sweet, timid girl was recently returned due to her previous owners being unable to provide the training she needs to overcome her fear of strangers.

Roxy is smart, playful, and funny! Once she warms up to you, she will be your best friend for life!! Roxy has the sweetest nature if she is given the patience and space she needs to feel safe with you.

Roxy is learning more and more everyday here at the shelter and would benefit from continued training to perfect her social skills. Roxy is on the shyer side with new people and would do best in a home that will take things slow and allow her the time to build trust and confidence. Because of this, we believe she would do best in a home with adults who understand her shy nature.

Roxy has done well with other dogs here at the shelter and might benefit from going to a home with a confident, playful dog friend. Her previous owners stated she would do best in a home with no cats and due to her shy nature, Roxy will need to go to a home with no children.

Roxy is a healthy pup with no known medical concerns! She is spayed, up to date on core vaccinations, dewormed, has had flea & tick preventative, and is microchipped.

1.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

If you are interested in adopting and meeting one of our adoptable animals one-on-one, we will have you fill out our adoption questionnaire.

2.
Meet the Pet

After completing the adoption questionnaire, you will be paired with one of our Adoption Counselors to help you find the right match.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a match is made, we will finalize the adoption paperwork and have you sign an adoption contract.

4.
Take the Pet Home

Once the contract is signed you may take your new pet home, typically same day!

The Fox Valley Humane Association believes in caring for pets and their people. We have an open adoption process, and our goal is to get to know potential adopters on a personal level and best match them with a new companion. We encourage you to stop by during our open hours to meet our adoptable animals.

The Fox Valley Humane Association is open to the public during the following hours. You do not need an appointment to view our adoptable animals, we welcome visitors anytime during our viewing hours. In order to best serve you, please plan on arriving at least 30 minutes prior to closing to meet with an Adoption Counselor and ensure adequate time to visit with our adoptable animals.
