Here's what the humans have to say about me:
No Phone Calls. If you are interested in adopting this Cocker girl, please fill out an application by going to charlottecockerrescue.org to download and save our application. Email your filled out application back to us to be approved. We will review it and return calls. This dog must be the only dog in the home.
Meet Jackie, a 7-year-old chocolate and tan Cocker Spaniel girl. She is a retired breeder dog. She has never had much attention or love. She came to us with another retired breeder dog, and we quickly found out that the owners lied to us when our rescue vet checked them over. Both girls had major mammary masses requiring two surgeries. Jackie is now spayed, updated on all vet care and hoping to find her forever home.
The ideal owner for this sweet girl must be willing to house train, teach her to walk on a leash and have a secure fenced yard. She craves attention and love and is a busy girl who likes to explore. Watching her outside, she knows how to open an unlocked gate, so you must always have a closed padlock on it to keep her safe from getting out. She is not good being around male or female dogs; we have learned this at the rescue. She did get along with the female dog she came in with, but she has been adopted to a great home and now Jackie wants a nice home too. We have no past history with big dogs, cats or children. We suggest older children, no young kids. She must be the only dog at your home so that she can have a great life with you and learn to be a wonderful companion.
Her adoption fee is $400.00.
