My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Raisin is a fun, sweet pup! She loves to play with toys, thinks other dogs are a blast, and is gentle with kids. She is crate trained and doing very well with house training - the first week adjusting to a new home/schedule may cause a few accidents, but once she gets the hang of things, she should be good. She has never met a cat, so we don’t know her thoughts on them.
Raisin can be a little nervous around men, but is won over without too much effort. She is quiet the vast majority of the time, but will bark when scared, extremely excited, or if another dog has something she really, really wants (bone, toy, etc).
Raisin in an absolute water dog - she thinks chomping at the hose spray is the most fun activity in life. Give her a wading pool and you’ll most certainly have a soaking wet dog in no time. She’s never been to a bigger body of water, but we’re betting she would love that too.
Raisin in spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated and up to date on flea and heartworm prevention.

Additional adoption info

You are required to sign a legally binding contact on your new pet. As part of that contract, should you no longer be able to keep the animal for any reason, the animal MUST be surrendered back to SAAP. This is to ensure the animal is placed back in foster care while we secure a new approved home for the animal. However, we always try to ensure that the initial placement is best for the pet and your family. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption.

More about this rescue

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non profit organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of animals that are in need of a forever home. Our animals are fostered in homes where we provide love, food, medical care and socialization until adoption into a new loving home. We educate on the importance of spaying and neutering of all pets.

We ensure all animals have been spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They are micro-chipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm and anti-flea medications (as age appropriate). They are ready and waiting to start their new life with their fur-ever family. Could that be you?

We need your help to continue our mission. We rely solely on donations and fundraisers. All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of your donation will go towards the rescue, care, and medical needs of the animals.

If you need info on a cat or kitten please contact 859-391-2944
