Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Drax and I’m looking for my forever home! I’m 1 y.o. and I am 18 pounds of puppy energy! I love chewing and playing with toys and wrestling with the resident dogs in my foster home in Joliet, IL. I am good with the dogs, but still learning good manners, like how to accept “no” when the other dogs are done playing. I just get so excited! I’m a typical zoomy, wiggly Shiba, but I’m not shy when I want attention. I’ll jump up in your lap and stick my face in your book whatever is distracting you from ME! I love cuddling with the other dogs or taking naps on my foster mom and sitting on her lap to watch TV. My favorite shows are Guardians of the Galaxy and Castaway Diva on Netflix. Listening to the soundtrack calms me if there are storms or fireworks outside that make me nervous. I also like podcasts, audiobooks and K-Pop music. I’m fully potty trained and a very good boy when it comes to going outside and doing my business right away. I’m getting more curious about the outside, and starting to enjoy walks and looking out of windows. I like to burst through doorways to greet humans or other pets in the house, so my forever family will want to be careful when opening doors and gates so I don’t get loose. Speaking of gates, I’m a smarty-pants and have figured out how to open them! I hope my new home will have another dog. I learn a lot from them and having fur-friends helps me not be lonely when the humans are busy. I’m very curious about cats, but I haven’t met any little kids yet, so I don’t know what I’d think about them. I’m a healthy boy – I once got really sick from eating chocolate and raisins, but I’m just fine now. I’m neutered and vaccinated and ready to find my forever family. If you live in the Midwest and are interested in a fun, snuggly puppy like me, visit www.savingshibas.com/adopt to become an approved SIRA adopter. The application process helps SIRA make sure we’ll be a good match. Once approved, they’ll introduce you to my foster mom so we can meet!
