Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Hiro and I’m looking for my forever home! Are you looking for your Prince Charming? A sweet, affectionate lover-boy to be your best friend? Then I’m your guy! I love people and I love attention and affection. There’s nothing I like better than jumping up and smothering you with kisses. I’m 9 years old and weigh 34 lbs. After spending my whole life helping to make puppies at a commercial breeding facility, the breeder closed, so SIRA rescued me and brought me to my foster home in Jonesburg, MO. It’s so nice here! There is plenty of good food (I’m a foodie!) and so many new things to explore! And there are toys! I never had toys before, but I love playing with them in the yard, tossing them up in the air. Living indoors is new for me and I love investigating every corner and piece of furniture. I’m a very good boy. I’m well-behaved in my kennel when left alone. I don’t bark or make a fuss. I’ve been learning how to walk on a leash and so far, I’m doing great practicing in the yard, but I haven’t been out in the neighborhood yet. I think I would love going on walks with my humans. My perfect forever home would have a securely fenced yard, since I love to play outside. I would be happy being the only dog, but if there was a laid-back resident dog who is friendly and respectful, I think I’d probably do fine after some slow/gradual introductions. I do well with the resident cats here – I’m curious, but haven’t tried to chase them. I haven’t met any little kids yet. My foster mom thinks I’d be fine with them, though I might accidentally knock over a really little one, since I’m kind-of a big boy. I’m a healthy boy – neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. If you live in the Midwest and want a handsome Prince to give you kisses, then visit www.savingshibas.com/adopt to apply to become an approved SIRA adopter. The application process helps SIRA get to know you to make sure we’ll be a good match. Once approved, they’ll connect you with my foster mom so we can meet. I can’t wait!!
