My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Margaret is estimated to be about 15 months old and about 60 lbs, so she’s a smaller Pyr. She came into rescue with her puppies after giving birth in a trailer park and was an extremely attentive mom. Once they were weaned, she’s settled into her foster home and has not been destructive as she loves any toys. She sleeps through the night, absolutely loves her food with no resource guarding and would do well with a furry companion in her furever home as she’s a “middle of the pack” dog that loves to play. She does great with working from home and not a pest while on zoom calls as she nestles into any available dog bed while dreaming of her new family. She’s incredibly affectionate, so if you’re looking for a cuddle bug, you’ve found your girl!

TGPR is a 501.c.3 organization dedicated to the protection and rescue of Great Pyrenees in Texas and surrounding areas.

TGPR helps Great Pyrenees that are considered at-risk for physical/mental injury, cruelty and abandonment and that may be subject to euthanasia and inhumane treatment.

We have Great Pyrenees of all different ages. We want to find just the right Pyr for you. We also adopt out of state, so don't hesitate if you aren't in Texas!
