My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello!  My name is Bob Barker. I am in search of a special home. I had a home until I grew up and my family abandon me. I was given little care and ended up on the streets. Sadly, I never received the proper puppy training by my first human parents to teach me manners or how to control my large voice. My foster mom has been working very diligently to help me with my behavior. I do still sound big and bad at first since it is my preferred method of seeking attention, despite being rude and inappropriate (this is how I got my name...). Do not be deterred, please approach me slowly and confidently. Since I received little training as a puppy, I would love for my new human parent(s) to have a strong personality that will be stern and tell me "NO." If I have any human siblings, they will need to be older and extra considerate kids they will not try to test my limits. I will need my new backyard to have a secure fence because my favorite activity is to visit the entirety of the neighborhood in one day. To say the least, I am well liked by the neighbors, and they feed me food/treats on my regular visits. I am motivated by anything that is food! I have been working on developing relationships with the resident dogs, but it's been difficult since I never grew up with a sibling. I love to interact with the resident dogs through the fence; however, rough play makes me a little nervous and I definitely do not like when they try to take my food. Regarding the resident cat, we are certainly not friends, so a home with no cat would be preferred. At the end of the day, all I really want, and need is a special person that will love me and treat me like their best friend because I do not want the outdoor only, street life anymore. I want the good life with daily belly rubs and quality time with my best friend(s). I will protect my human and stay loyal, sticking by your side wherever you go (literally). Please give me the opportunity to show you how I can shine!
