My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am Lucas. My foster mom says I am the sweetest, little rascal of a puppy she has ever met. I think that must be a good thing because she always laughs when I do anything. I am housebroken, crate trained, UTD on shots, neutered, micro chipped, HW neg. The vet says I am about 8-10 months old because I don't have all my big dog teeth yet - but I am working on them.

I love to play, play, play. I love everyone and everything. I need someone to live with who will play fetch with me and teach me all the things I don't know yet. I really need a family who understands that I am still a puppy and I do puppy things, but I am always happy and like to please. I love children and love to chase the cats but I don't try to hurt them.

Everyone has a different idea of who my mom and dad were. Probably a Shih Tzu with Lhasa Apso or Dandie Dinmont mixed in. I will weigh about 20 lbs. or less. I have soft grey mixed with white hair. My foster mom says it will be beautiful when it grows out. I am a very healthy and happy boy.
I am being fostered in Chapel Hill, NC and my asking adoption fee is $400.

NOTE: Due to the volatile price of gas, getting multiple volunteers to help with long distance transporting is no longer feasible. We have listed the town and state where each dog is being fostered. Please consider how far you are willing to travel when filling out the application. The foster home will usually volunteer to help with transport for a reasonable distance.
