15 year old Mackerel tabby
Strictly indoor cat (front paw declawed)
Loves chin, cheek, and belly scratches (she has a very soft belly)
Sometimes drools when you pet her because it feels so good
Has a very accurate internal clock and will remind you every 12 hours to feed her wet food
Likes to sing after she eats
Vocal cat but doesn’t jump on counters or knock things over
Loves to lounge on the couch
Loves to play with string and laser
Likes to sleep by herself but appreciates getting pet before bedtime
Missing one of her canine teeth, not sure what happened to it

Sydney had the same owner for 15 years, but that owner had to give her up because their other, younger cats started to not get along with her. Sydney would do best if she was the only furry friend in the house. She’s older now and can’t jump on tables but will easily hop on the couch to get affection if she sees you sitting there. Sydney is a classic fraidy cat and will likely hide in a safe place for a week before she starts showing her true colors. Her second owner made a little room for her with her food and litter box which worked well. She is a fraidy cat around any visitors to the house.
She has an occasional cough that vets characterize more as a mild allergy rather than hairball removal. She does better with low-dust litter, and a little pumpkin puree added to her wet food every breakfast and dinner. She also has a couple benign lumps around her hind quarters which vets have also said are benign. She is a healthy, chill cat.
