My story

Pelusa is the sweetest little cuddle-buddy you'll ever meet! She's a Bichon Frise with a heart of gold. Her journey began with a broken leg as a result of being hit by a car. Thanks to some amazing veterinary care, she bounced back with a wagging tail and has no lasting effects other than an infrequent limp.

This little floof loves nothing more than snuggling up on your lap. Seriously, she's a pro at it! She is the poster-dog for the term “lap dog.” She will follow you waiting for your lap to be available. She would love to snuggle up to you in bed at night too. Her social skills are impeccable and does great going for walks on a leash. She gets along well with both canine and feline friends. Even when trying to establish dominance, she's quick to back down with a gentle reminder. And though she may have a Napoleon complex, her barks are just a way of expressing herself or alerting you to visitors.

When it comes to her forever home, Pelusa has a few requests. A fence with slats no more than 2 1/2" apart is a must, as she's not one to resist the temptation to explore if given the chance. And while she may have an infrequent habit of nibbling on blankets or shirts to pacify herself, a chew toy suited to her size will keep her happily occupied. While she's still learning the ropes of potty training, Pelusa's eager to please and getting better every day. Being the floof that she is, she requires some extra TLC in the realm of hair brushing and eye wiping.

If you are ready for a lifetime of snuggles and unconditional love, Pelusa is waiting to meet you!
