Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Up for adoption in Texas:
Sully Ford is three years old and a 63-pound bundle of love.
The best way to describe Sully is super chill and always a happy boy. Sully is so sweet, gentle, and loving he earned the nickname “Sweet Sully." Friends and neighbors of his foster parents say what a beautiful dog he is inside and out.
Since Lucky Lab first saved him, Sully has really come out of his shell and shown his fun-loving, adorable personality. He has his Labrador moments of excitement and energy, but for the most part, Sully is lounging outside in the shade, on the tile, napping inside, or chewing on his toys he loves, especially deer antlers.
He goes crazy over belly rubs, and he’s always on his back asking for pets. Sully doesn’t get up on the furniture but will jump onto the bed if he’s invited up. He sleeps in his bed in his foster's room or on the rug.
Sully does great with other dogs and by himself in a home. He has spent time around small and large breeds and plays so gently. He is able to share bones and toys without blinking an eye.
Sully does not need a kennel, nor does he do well in one. He roams his foster's kitchen and living room (blocked off), napping while they are gone, and waits by the door for one of us to come home.
He is good with cats so far. He has been around a kitty in a home he visited and on one of his walks a cat came up to him rubbed up next to him and he just sniffed at it then walked on. He is leash-trained and loves his walks but loves to playfully charge at squirrels.
Sully is not a big fan of baths and car rides, but tolerates it sweetly. Car rides have improved by taking short, fun rides to drive-thrus for treats.
Sweet Sully's foster parents say he will likely be the perfect companion to any family, large or small. He really is the best boy! He would be best with someone who routinely exercises outdoors, where he can tag along. He is so loyal. If someone works from home, that’s a huge bonus!! He loves spending time with his people. Sweet Sully will steal your heart quickly!
Sully is neutered and microchipped and has age-appropriate vaccines. He’s house trained and also loves to go outside and needs to explore first thing in the morning before breakfast to potty. If you would like to add Sweet Sully to your family please apply at www.luckylabrescue.com
