Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Juniper is a beautiful adult female dog (possibly a Rottweiler mix) who was placed in one of our outside kennels (HSOV in Marietta Ohio) during the overnight- or early morning hours on April 29, 2024. She was accompanied by her female companion Hexa (possibly a Boxer/Plott Hound mix) who was placed in an adjacent kennel. Neither of the girls were wearing a collar.
Juniper has a black short smooth coat with brown/auburn markings on her chest/legs, a long tail, and a pretty face with brown/brindle shading, dark brown eyes, a black button nose on her large muzzle, and long floppy ears. She appears to be the older/larger pair of the duo. Juniper weighs 54.2 lbs.
Both of the girls were understandably nervous/scared being penned up in an unfamiliar place, and they weren't quite ready to put on their happy face and pose for glamour pictures in our outdoor photo area .. So the 'paparazzi' patiently spent time with them and listened to them verbalizing their apprehension in the only way they knew how (by barking and putting up a brave front). After 10-15 minutes or so of quiet conversation on the paparazzi's side of the kennel gate (whispering sweet nothings through the fencing and telling them what good girls they were and that they were in good hands), they eventually began to wag their tails and decided that lady posed no threat to them .. And they relaxed enough in order to take some preliminary photos.
We look forward to taking more flattering pictures when the girls realize that they are indeed with their new best friends (our HSOV kennel techs and staff) who love them unconditionally.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, these girls will be held for three days so that their family will have an opportunity to reclaim them with proof of ownership.
