BIO:
Hi there! My name is Olivea and I am an aspiring lap dog in a veeeeeery large body! But my body wasn't always this healthy 120-pound figure you see today; you see, I was unloved and severely malnourished when rescued (I only weighed about 40 pounds, can you even believe it?!) but thanks to my devoted, attentive foster momma I have gained weight and felt love for the first time in my life. Let me tell you how much I enjoy being a beloved family member: I adore people of all ages (including the toddlers I've met) and am very happy to have a doggie pal to keep me company. I would thrive in a family with kids and other dogs - I adore the comfort of family. Even though I am extra large, I make great attempts and trying to fit on your lap for snuggles, I hope you don't mind! And my tail never stops wagging when I have two- and four-legged companions to love! My foster momma jokingly calls my tail its own power source, so I might accidentally knock very tiny children or potted plants over when I am especially happy, but otherwise I have excellent household manners and am never purposefully destructive. I am already potty and crate trained, though my foster momma says she doesn't need to crate me when she leaves the house because I enjoy lounging in my bed or on the couch until she returns (this life of luxury thing is amazing!)

My dream home will include a big family and another dog or two, a fenced yard so I can play with my pals and lounge in the sun. I am pretty low energy overall and do not need a lot of exercise, so an occasional walk would be fine but I am not going to be your marathon training buddy haha! I could use some extra work on my leash walking skills; I was likely previously chained up in my prior life so I am extra alert of my surroundings on walks and can be protective of the other dog in my foster home when we are strolling the neighborhood. Fetching Tails requires adopters of young dogs like me to sign us up for training classes, and I am a quick learner (especially when treats are involved - I am very food motivated!) so I think we will have a great time learning new skills together and seeing how great a family pet I can be! Will you give me the luxurious home life and special place in your heart as your beloved companion? Then hurry up and fill out an adoption application today!

Love,
Olivea

If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
