Meet Shiba, a sweet dog with a heart of gold. Though she may be a bit shy at first, Shiba's love for people is boundless. She thrives on human companionship and enjoys gentle walks at her own pace, along with quiet cuddle sessions. Shiba adores all things soft and cozy and loves to snuggle up in every chair she sees. She's looking for a patient and understanding family who will give her the time she needs to come out of her shell. And she LOVES tennis balls! Fill out a Meet Your Match questionnaire, spend some time getting to know the pet you are considering taking home, and talk to an adoption counselor.
Each animal will leave the Center spayed or neutered, vaccinated, heartworm (dogs) or FeLV/FIV (cats) tested, de-wormed, treated for fleas/ticks, given heartworm preventative if applicable and microchipped.

McKamey Animal Center in Chattanooga, TN, first opened its doors to the city’s homeless pets in July 2008. A leader in animal welfare both locally and nationally, the nonprofit shelter’s mission is to enhance the lives of companion animals and people by encouraging a culture of responsibility and compassion. As an open admission facility, the Center provides animal services and care for any animal in the city of Chattanooga regardless of age, breed, health, and temperament. McKamey has a number of thriving programs to benefit companion animals and people including adoption, foster, rescue, trap-neuter-return for feral cats, and humane education.
