Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Max T, a handsome 3 year old, 5 pound Parti Yorkie being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered.
Howdy, United Yorkie Rescue family, friends and social media buddies.
07/09/2024 Pupdate: Hello beautiful world. It's been a while since my last pupdate. All I can say is just WOW!!! There is so much to learn since I've gotten away from my concrete pad and chain-link cage. I love exploring the backyard and having the freedom to do that.
I am learning slowly how to enjoy life, but most of all becoming a "real dog". I am still very leery of Hoomans and I also learning that my Foster Pawrents are very kind, nice and patient with me as I learn so many new things. I never had toys before in my other life but boy are they fun to play with. Playing with the other foster dogs here is really fun too. I have learned how to wrestle with them. I love playing chase and tag which makes foster mom smile because she knows that I am slowly learning how to become a dog. It is still taking me a long time to trust those tall two legged things called hoomans. You see in my other life the only thing I knew about them was that they tossed cheap kibble into a place that they called my kennel and every once in a while took me out of my kennel and put me in another kennel to play with a girl doggy for a couple of days. So Foster mom says that I have had no socialization in my three years before coming here. Being around other dogs has helped me socialize doggy style. Even though I know Foster mom is kind, loving and patient I still am having a hard time with trust. I still play chase with her when it's time to go out. There's a place on the loveseat that has a corner that I feel safe in. When she asks me if I want to go out with the other doggies, I run away from her and up the ramp to that loveseat corner and make myself as small as I can. She comes up very slowly and talks softly to me and I let her pick me up and take my belly band off and carry me outside. Once I get outside, I do my personal busines and use my sniffer to explore all the new sense I never had a chance to smell in my other life. Then it is time to play with the other dogs, especially Luke. I think it's because he's my size and is a puppy and loves to wrestle like I do. So we play chase and tag outside. I do come in on my own with all the other dogs so Foster mom says that makes her happy. Then it's time to play inside. She is always telling me that she is looking for someone very special to become my Furever Pawrents.
I am what they call a Parti Yorkie. They say I'm about three years old and I weigh a whopping 5 pounds but when we go see the doctor, we will ask him what he thinks. Just so you know, I was used as a breeder boy because I am so handsome.
As you can see by my picture I'm a hairy little guy it's gonna take a little while to get all my knots and tangles combed out. So if you think I'm cute now wait till I get all groomed. I'm just gonna be cute as a button.
I will be seeing Foster Mom's favorite dogter as soon as possible for my neuter, check my teeth, check my ears, yada yada yada, and get a check up.
So stay tuned for my next update
See ya,
Max T.
