Pooh Bear is a special senior Chihuahua looking for a forever home after being rescued from the Dallas shelter's euthanasia list nearly a year ago. Surrendered by his owner at around eight years old due to health issues, Pooh Bear had a rough start but is ready for a fresh chapter. Partially blind, he can see shadows but occasionally bumps into things, though he manages well with a routine. Pooh Bear's demeanor is unique and requires patience—he took about two months to warm up enough for scratches but can be particular about when he's had enough attention. Despite a challenging start in foster care, he's come a long way and now navigates stairs and his favorite spots with ease. Pooh Bear communicates his needs by sticking his head through the banister or getting into a crate for transport outside, then returns promptly to his favorite spot in bed. At night, he enjoys lying next to you under the blankets but prefers no touching. This stinker of a Chihuahua is now around nine years old, 10 pounds, and seeking a patient and understanding home. If Pooh Bear sounds like the companion you've been looking for, submit your application today to meet him and witness his unique personality firsthand. He's ready to leave his past behind and flourish in a loving home. No children in household please.
If you are interested in adding this special guy to your family, please go to our website and complete an application for adoption. www.chloespetrescue.org/application
Pooh’s adoption fee is $75. He is fully vetted.
Pooh Bear is considered special needs, so feel free to contact us to discuss adoption further.

Additional adoption info
We are a RESCUE ORGANIZATION; please complete your online Adoption Application, which can be found on our website. We require an adoption application, vet reference, and a home visit with the pet. ALL of our pets are spayed, neutered or scheduled prior to being adopted. They are UTD on shots, heartworm negative, treated or scheduled to be treated, and micro chipped. They must be kept on heartworm preventative for the rest of their lives. Our adoption fees vary. Puppies have an increased adoption fee since they need three or four sets of shots, multiple de-wormings, and other puppy needs to keep them healthy.

CPR is an animal rescue organization run solely by volunteers. Our primary goal is to save dogs from euthanization at shelters as a result of factors such as a lack of funding and space. These wonderful animals are put at risk because they have no one to claim and adopt them. We aim to give them the second chance that they so deserve. Our animals come to us from shelters around DFW and stay in foster homes where they are given the medical attention (vaccinations, surgeries, heart worm testing, etc) and care that they deserve.
