Chase was surrendered to our shelter on 5/3/2024 and is under 2 years old. He's a chihuahua/pit bull mix (yes, that's correct) and he has been bounced around a bit in his relatively short life. He's not quite a small dog and not quite a medium sized dog. He's a happy and enthusiastic fellow who bounces into the room to say hey. He has been vet checked, chipped, neutered, and his fee is $150.
Chase loves people and attention, becoming a volunteer favorite in the months he's been with us. He's kind of been overlooked, which is a shame for this sweet guy. He will require some basic training. He is active and playful and is looking for a home in which he won't be alone for long hours. He has done okay with some adult dogs of similar size. Cats? We're not sure. Kids over 5 would be best for him.
NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Keep an eye on your emails if you apply.
We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.
We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.
