Meet Lyvia, the lovable Labrador mix puppy with a heart as big as her playful spirit! Born around January 25, 2024, this beautiful girl currently weighs in at 31.8 pounds as of July 6, 2024, with plenty of growing left to do. With her warm eyes and wagging tail, Lyvia is sure to capture your heart from the moment you meet her.

Lyvia's journey to finding her forever home has been nothing short of extraordinary. Alongside her six siblings, she was pulled from her momma by Leon Valley Animal Control. These officers intervened when they discovered Lyvia and her littermates confined in distressing conditions. The puppies were all left to endure the sweltering heat in a dry fountain without relief, food or water.

Thanks to the swift action of a good Samaritan who alerted local rescues, Lyvia and her siblings were rescued from their ordeal and given a second chance at life. Despite the hardships she's faced, Lyvia's resilient spirit remains unbroken, and her capacity for love knows no bounds.

Lyvia is always watching what is going on. She takes a few minutes to warm up to new people. Whether she's romping around in the yard or cuddled up for a nap, she's always eager for playtime and affection.

This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.

Submit Application

Please fill out the application form and submit on our website. You will receive a response from an adoption counselor.

2.
Approve Application

Adoption counselor will email you to discuss the inquiry/application, and give more info about the pet and the adoption process

3.
Pay Fee

If you are approved to adopt, payments can be made by cash, check, or through PayPal or Venmo. Please note the payment as an adoption fee

Additional adoption info

Adoption application is required. Applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. A picture of your home or yard may be requested

All dogs and puppies are fully vetted prior to adoption (spay/neuter, rabies, 3 DHPP, bordetella, heartworm test/treat if positive) and are micro-chipped.

Our fees start at $200, transport out of Texas is arranged by us and is generally an additional $200.
We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet. Our contract requires if an adoption does not work out the dog is to be returned to us. We need at least two weeks notice.

Our dogs are posted on our website. Generally they live at our facility located on a beautiful 100 acre ranch in Texas. We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dog. We pride ourselves in providing a complete and honest evaluation of each dog to ensure the best possible placement for both the dog and the adopter. We welcome your visit to our facility in Texas.

A Doggie 4 You is an all volunteer organization and consists of two programs:
1) A Doggie 4 You rescues dogs from kill facilities and unsafe environments, fully vet the dogs, then adopt them to loving families

2)The Hill Country Daisy Fund helps hill country rescues in by providing monetary support for adoptable animals in shelters who have a treatable injury or illness or low income individuals who need assistance with food or veterinary care in order to keep their pet.
