Make way, an Elephant is coming through and looking for his forever home!
Elephant is a sweet boy in need of a kind, patient human. He is a bit skittish and can turn spicy when overstimulated or running into an unexpected kitty. However, he's the sweetest little guy once he's comfortable around you. He loves exploring the house and having some pets on his chin! Once you're buddies, he'll even play! His favorite toys are anything snake-like or a good old-fashioned string or feather on a stick.
Elephant is an expressive kitty! He has a pouty pink bottom lip that likes to poke out when he's relaxed, making him look a little like a grumpy cutie! He has a very loud croaky meow that he uses for attention and food. He is learning soft meows!
Now that he's gotten to know the resident cat, he seeks him out for sniffs and nose boops! He's a bit awkward, but clearly enjoys his company. He has learned to start play-chasing when the resident cat gives him the signal!
This little gray guy will need some extra loving due to his anxiety and previous medical issues. He has such a sweet personality, when you start vibing with him life will be golden. Particularly if you pull out the heating pad, that's heaven to Mr. Elephant!
He's a smart kitty and has learned to sit for his food. He uses soft paws with you, and is quite gentle.
Elephant would be a wonderful addition to a home with adults or older kids and low traffic. He takes time to warm up but will love those he trusts forever!
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed, or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
For further information or to meet Elephant, please email adopt@austinpetsalive.org.
