My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Durango is the cutest and sweetest Beagle. He is approximately four years old. He lived with another Beagle, Beau, who is also in our care and the two had the sweetest reunion when Durango arrived at the Shelter on May 3rd. He may not be completely housebroken, because he was kept in an outdoor kennel, but he does go to the bathroom on walks and when let outside. He has had all of his vet care and can't wait to be adopted. He would make a great companion for another dog. He seems to be gentle enough to be a good pet for kids.

If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application here: http://medfieldshelter.com/adopt. Our dog adoption fee is $350. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash.

With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.

All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have two employees. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
